Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates should excel at all levels of analysis. In addition to the solid compensation and benefits, this full-time position offers the possibility of growth.

Responsibilities

  • Partake in various department-wide initiatives

  • Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests

  • Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

  • Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

    Requirements - Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • Great attention to detail

  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

  • Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Must have excellent time management skills

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

  • SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

  • SAP experience

  • Command of ASC 842

  • Solid understanding of Fixed Asset Accounting

  • Proficiency in GAAP Accounting

  • Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Proven knowledge of CPA
