Job Profile Summary: TheSenior Social Media Strategist will lead and coordinatethe university's social media strategies aimed at buildingthe reputations of the university,the WGU system, and our leadersamong key target audiences.The incumbent will work closely withall members of the public relations, marketing,and student experience team, supportingall WGU departments by providing social mediaconsultation, strategy, and content development support. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Ensure that WGU, its affiliates, colleges and systems entitieshave positive awareness andreputationthrough: * Social mediastrategicplanning and implementation. * Proactive planning that supports reputation enhancement. * Content creation, including articles, web copy, press releases, social media content, speeches, presentations, and newsletters. * Thought leadershipinitiatives. * Agency and vendor management. * Social media tracking and reporting * Support forpromotionalevents, campaigns,and activities thatsupportnew student acquisition. * Performs other related duties as assigned.
