Innovate!, Inc. Senior Remote Sensing Analyst in Salt Lake City, Utah

Innovate! Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its geospatial solutions team as aSr. Remote Sensing Analystin support of expanding Innovates business footprint in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Our team is looking for well-organized, self-directed applicants who shall apply remote sensing and geospatial technologies to address natural resource applications including change detection, monitoring, extraction, and classification of information from imagery using supervised/unsupervised image classification, and feature extraction technologies. The position shall conduct product accuracy assessment and identify and apply new and innovative approaches to geospatial analysis and modeling. The position shall develop, manage, and analyze remote sensing and geospatial data sets, including unique and disparate data and information, to support resource management projects that range from local to broad scales in size. The position shall evaluate and apply new remote sensing and associated technologies (e.g., new sensors and platforms, software technologies, data processing and analysis methods, data mining, geospatial modeling, UAV data extraction and interpretation, etc.) and assess their feasibility for use to support FS information needs. The position shall prepare scientific and technical reports and geospatial training materials for evaluation and development projects.

LOCATION

Candidate can work remotely but needs to be in Salt Lake City, UT.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated geospatial analysis and applied remote sensing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in processing, analysis, and modeling in FS enterprise geospatial software applications, including Esri ArcGIS and ERDAS Imagine.
  • Demonstrated experience with LiDAR, PhoDAR, Volumetric Measurements, InfraRed applications, Digital Surface Models (DSM), Orthophotography, Point Cloud Generation.
  • Optional experience with AGiSoft PhotoScan, GOM Media Player, Blue Marble Geographics Global Matter, ENVI, ImagJ, and Exiv2.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work with ArcGIS Desktop tools, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ERDAS Imagine
  • Ability to design and implement enterprise spatial solutions
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for geospatial analysis and applied remote sensing
  • Ability to work with LiDAR, PhoDAR, Volumetric Measurements, InfraRed applications, Digital Surface Motels (DSM), Orthophotography, and Point Cloud Generation.
  • Ability to apply remote sensing and geospatial technologies to address natural resource applications including change detection monitoring, extraction and classification of information from imagery and feature extraction.
  • Ability to manage GIS data within at least one of the following: Oracle, MS SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL database environments.
  • Ability to use geospatial data and applications for visualization, analysis, and presentation of geospatial data.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, work independently, and manage quick turnarounds of deliverables
  • Knowledge and understanding of processing, analysis, and modeling in FS enterprise geospatial software applications including Esri ArcGIS and ERDAS Imagine
