Position: Regional Quality Manager

We are looking for an experienced self-motivated Regional Quality Manager to join our growing Industrial Construction team. This position will be responsible for the duties listed below along with other related functions. A team-oriented mentality and the drive to continuously improve is what sets the Loenbro team at the top of the industry. This position works closely with area management, project teams, fabrication, and other departments to ensure that the team’s aligned goals are being met.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support multiple projects ensuring adequate personnel, equipment, and training is provided allowing for successful task execution.

  • Communicate and create relationships with customers while providing solutions.

  • Manage and train inspection personnel with the tools and knowledge to be able to support a large array of projects and specific requirements.

  • Schedule and conduct meetings with project teams to ensure support and compliance.

  • Audit new subcontractors to support current and upcoming project needs.

  • Survey existing subcontractors to ensure continued compliance and conformance.

  • Have the ability and willingness to step in and provide assistance to the quality team on items such as Weld Mapping, package creation, data entry, system walks, welder testing, or any other quality control functions.

  • Work hand in hand with the Divisional Quality Manage to provide status updates on area needs, project and personnel performance, road blocks, and prospects.

  • Review project specific requirements to ensure adequate procedures and processes exist to support them.

  • Create and implement Project Quality Assurance Plans as needed.

  • Assist projects in writing inspection and test plans (I&TP’s)

  • Plan and execute Root Cause Analysis’ and Corrective Action Reports

  • Monitor and maintain calibrated equipment status and needs.

    Skills/Qualifications:

  • Have a current AWS CWI or ASNT VT II

  • Extensive knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT) with ASNT-SNT-TC-1A documented training/hands on hours.

  • NACE certification is a plus

  • Well versed with ASTM standards and materials

  • Efficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers

  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of organizational skills

  • Extensive knowledge of reading and understanding drawings

  • Must be a quick learner and motivated

  • Ability to travel when needed

  • Self-motivated with the drive to learn and grow

  • Must be able to work as a team and communicate with co-workers

    Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience working under a Quality Management Program

  • Experience with working to customer specifications.

  • Experience with creating welding procedures.

  • Experience with the verification of mechanical equipment alignment

  • Extensive knowledge of codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, NACE)

  • Experience managing personnel.

  • Experience with communicating with customers in a high profile environment.

  • 7+ years working as a Quality Control Inspector.

    Potential Hazard:

  • Working outside in extreme weather conditions

  • Exposure to loud noises and abnormal odors

  • Confined space work

  • Working in areas with overhead activities

    Essential Requirements:

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders while working on scaffolds and in trenches to access work

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds

  • Walking on uneven terrain for extended periods

  • Standing for extended periods

  • The use of respirators if required by projects

  • Driving if required to travel to and from locations

  • Occasionally may need to kneel, reach or stoop

  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
