  • Weekend shift, (schedule: Fri-Sun; 3 x 12’s; 36 hrs)- 20% shift differential pay

    Job Description:

    Weekend Operations Manager oversees a Planning team (8 employees) that are responsible for all operational aspects on production and sustainment projects and serves as the weekend liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop and maintain mechanisms for monitoring required weekend project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and others involved within the production and repair processes. In short, oversees operational activities at every level of the weekend organization at L3Harris. In addition, their duties will also include hiring, training and maintaining employees that report up to the position. Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience in project management

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Proven record of delivering end-to-end stakeholder requirements, documenting mapping and data transformation rules, data validation rules and error handling

  • Ability to write epics and user stories on behalf of the business product owner, Strong business process flow documentation and diagramming skills, Develop functional specifications and training plans

    Essential Functions:

  • Working knowledge of DOD program environment; esp. FAR, ITAR, DSS requirements

  • Demonstrated history of identifying significant decisions makers in customer organizations, building a rapport, and influencing decisions.

  • Program/Project Management training and experience a plus

  • Required personal attributes: Leadership, strong interpersonal skills, outstanding oral and written communications, proactive, innovative, disciplined, team-builder, motivator, closer

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully drive change within a matrixed organization

  • Professional personality and consultative solution providing approach to customer problems

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 10 years’ experience in Operations, Project Management and/or Program Management.

  • Previous Experience in leadership positions preferred
