FIRST STEP HOUSE Maintenance Technician in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician located in Salt Lake City, Utah!! The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all maintenance, preventative maintenance, landscape maintenance, and repairs for all First Step House facilities

  • Salary is $42,000 - $46,000!!
  • Day shift hours

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in the behavioral health field is preferred
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience in one or more of the building trades
  • Valid driver license and be able to be added to our insurance.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Performs minor troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments of locks on doors, cabinets, desks, closets.
  • Installs all air conditioning units.
  • Services appliances, kitchen, and emergency equipment.
  • Hooks up appliance and reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for action.
  • Exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled crafts person.
  • Maintains grounds in a presentable fashion by cutting, trimming, and edging.
  • Basic knowledge of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, grounds keeping with gas powered tools, standard practices and tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities.
  • Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools.
