Nexeo HR is seeking Lumber Yard Laborers in St. George UT. The Lumber Yard Laborers play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of a lumber yard or construction supply company. They assist with the handling,sorting,and organizing of lumber products,ensuring that the yard is properly stocked,and materials are readily available for customers and construction projects. This physically demanding role requires individuals who can perform manual labor tasks and have a good understanding of lumber products and their handling procedures. Responsibilities

   Receive,unload,and inspect incoming lumber shipments. 

   Use appropriate tools and equipment,such as forklifts,pallet jacks,or overhead cranes,to move lumber within the yard safely.

   Maintain accurate inventory records by recording incoming and outgoing lumber shipments.

   Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies to the supervisor. 

   Assist in conducting physical inventory counts as required.

   Assist customers in locating and loading lumber products into their vehicles. 

   Provide courteous and professional customer service,answering questions,and addressing concerns regarding lumber products.

   Keep the lumber yard clean and organized,ensuring that aisles and storage areas are clear of debris and obstacles. 

   Perform routine maintenance tasks,such as sweeping,cleaning equipment,and repairing or replacing damaged lumber racks.

Qualifications

   Previous experience working in a lumber yard or construction supply company is beneficial.

   Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy lifting and perform manual labor tasks.

   Familiarity with lumber products,grades,and sizes.

   Ability to operate equipment,such as forklift.

   Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.

Pay

$14.00 - $15.00 Per Hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 4:00pm
