Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This is a bargaining unit position.

  • Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) Services on CAT and non-CAT equipment in the field.

  • Services primarily include the changing of compartment fluids, filters, grease and similar related items on machinery.

  • Scheduled period of work will be swing shift.

  • Must be willing to work overtime or weekends if needed.

  • Must be able to drive safely and obey all traffic laws.

  • Use computer, smartphone and other technology for customer and dealer communication.

  • Perform electronic inspections on all scheduled PM Services.

  • Must be knowledgeable with basic machine functions, maintenance and operation.

  • Parts ordering as required per job.

*Drug test will be performed prior to employment

Required Qualifications:

  • Is Always Safe and Safety Oriented and will abide by Wheeler Safety Programs.

  • Has Integrity.

  • Has a good work ethic.

  • Has a good attitude.

  • Is a Self-starter.

  • Ability to work well with customers and co-workers as a team.

  • Provide own tools to perform services.

  • Must have or be willing to obtain MSHA certification.

  • Must have a clean MVR (motor vehicle report).

  • Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Services on heavy construction equipment.

  • Good computer and organizational skills. Adapts well to new technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Field / PM Service Experience.

  • Knowledge of Contamination Control and how to take a clean fluid sample.

  • Knowledge of Heavy Equipment.

  • Knowledge of DBS, SIS and VisionLink a plus.

  • CDL License (class B with tanker endorsement)
