Universal Engineering Sciences Lab Technician - Construction Materials Testing in Salt Lake City, Utah

As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for testing soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials. If you’re reliable, possess good work ethic, like to work in a team-oriented environment, and enjoy providing top-notch customer service, this is the position for you!

We provide on-the-job training and future construction materials testing certification possibilities for the right individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Soil testing (Sieve, PI, Proctors, Moisture, Expansion, Soundness, CBR, etc.)

  • Asphalt testing (Marshall, RICE, etc.)

  • Aggregate testing

  • Concrete/Grout/Mortar Testing (compression test, curing, coring, etc.)

  • Sample preparation

  • Electronic reporting

  • Field Sampling/pick-up

  • Other duties as assigned by Lab Supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • Valid Driver's License, with good driving record

  • 1 year of industry related experience

  • Willing to obtain certifications as needed/requested

HIGHLY Preferred Qualifications

  • (1) One or more of the following certifications (Nuclear Gauge, ACI Field Grade 1, ACI Concrete Strength, ACI Masonry Testing Certification, Asphalt Testing)
