The FACTS Operations intern will have the opportunity to support nonpublic schools across the nation as they utilize federal funding specific to Coronavirus relief. The primary project is with the Nebraska Department of Education as the fiscal agent manager. The project entails reviewing, processing and tracking requests from schools & working directly with vendors to complete orders and make payments. The individual will work closely with the other FACTS Ed team members & the Accounting Team. This position requires strong attention to detail, a love for spreadsheets and a passion to change the lives of students through education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work with the operations team to support project

  2. Assist with creating & maintaining process and training documentation

  3. Develop working knowledge of project development process, working with internal managers and supervisors, communicating frequently and escalating issues as necessary

  4. Assist Operations team to organize tasks, time, resources, and people to create a project where all elements come together

  5. Assist in coordinating, leading, and attending project meetings as requested

Pay for this role is: $14-$18 Depending on location and year in school

EDUCATION:

  1. Pursuing a 2-yr or 4-yr degree in accounting, business, or related field

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Experience in Microsoft office applications

  2. Basic data entry

Preferred:

  1. Accounting experience
