Finance Director

We are on the hunt for a seasoned and dynamic Finance Director to lead the financial support of and partner with the Can Making and Can Fill manufacturing segments for our client located in Salt Lake City. This role involves ensuring absolute financial transparency, aligning manufacturing operations with commercial objectives, and providing game-changing strategic insights to boost financial performance.

Core Responsibilities of the Finance Director:

  • Drive transparency and alignment between manufacturing and commercial teams.

  • Contribute in the creation of product line strategies and their impact on the P&L.

  • Conduct comprehensive variance analysis to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Identify business improvement opportunities for higher revenue, increased efficiencies, or cost savings.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings with a focus on result analysis.

  • Improve working capital metrics through strategic actions.

  • Manage a team of 1 direct report, fostering commitment to the organization's vision, values, and purpose.

  • Oversee forecasting, reporting, and budgeting processes on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.

  • Enhance forecast accuracy for manufactured product lines.

  • Collaborate closely with business owners to build productive working relationships and drive superior results through data-driven insights.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding controls, asset management, and cash management.

Requirements of the Finance Director:

  • Minimum of 5 years of finance or accounting experience in manufacturing environments.

  • 2+ years of experience with product costing and inventory consignment.

  • Strong analytical skills in financial modeling and analysis.

  • Proven leadership experience.

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and supply chain management.

  • Understanding of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
