BIOMERIEUX, INC. Field Application Specialist: Molecular - Minnesota, North/S in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Description Position Summary: This position provides solution-oriented consultative training, technical support and troubleshooting at customer sites, and remotely, on bioMerieux's diagnostic product lines. Effectively work with customers to achieve efficient implementation and go live of new instrumentation. Retain business, collaborate with stakeholders.

This is a field based position supporting the Minnesota and North/South Dakota territory. The ideal candidate will reside or be willing to relocate to the Minneapolis, MN or major city within the area or close proximity. Extensive field travel is required - average 75%, including overnight stays.

Primary Duties: * Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMerieux's Quality System. * Coordinate and provide technical training, consultation, and ongoing support of bioMerieux's diagnostic product lines within the U.S. customer base. * Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong professional relationships with all customers. * Answer internal and external customer inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in bioMerieux's CRM system; consulting as appropriate with Sales Partners, Application Specialists, Field/System Engineers, IT Resources, Management teams, and Local/Global Support Teams. * Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators. * Responsible for efficient territory management within operating expense budget. * Support bioMerieux revenue initiatives. * Perform other duties as assigned, and/or as business needs dictate. Education, Skills, and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in medical technology, technical, or life science field * 1+ years clinical laboratory experience or equivalent. * bioMerieux product experience preferred. * ASCP or MLT certifications preferred * Molecular experience is preferred but not required * Laboratory Information System, or Connectivity/Networking experience a plus. * Experience with guidelines with CLIA regulations and/or additional laboratory credentialing agencies preferred. * Experience with related technical field applications support strongly preferred. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: * Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods * Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like * Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day. Ability to operate heavy machinery * Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions #LI-US
