Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Director to oversee the operations of our daycare center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a positive and enriching environment for both children and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the daycare center, including staffing, scheduling, and curriculum development.
  • Hire, train, and supervise daycare staff, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and company policies.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and government agencies to ensure compliance
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and families, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Manage daycare budgets and expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective operations.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in early childhood education, incorporating new ideas and approaches into the daycare program as needed.
  • Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during daycare hours, following established protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 12hrs of college credit on early childhood education or a CDA certificate.
  • Previous experience working in a daycare or childcare setting, with more than 2 years in a leadership or management role (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with state licensing regulations for daycare centers in Utah (preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
