L3Harris is seeking a Chief Electronic Warfare (EW) System Architect with 20+ years of design and development experience including EW system design. The Chief System Architect will be proficient in digital design implementation and oversee multiple EW design teams located in Salt Lake City, UT. This role includes developing and reviewing EW design artifacts, training personel, customer interfacing, and general oversight of EW DoD programs and internal research efforts. The System Architect will be responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met or exceeded and facilitating collaboration between multiple interdisiplinary teams.

Areas of expected technical experience include:

  • High speed interface design and implementation

  • FPGA design, implementation, and test

  • Electronic Attack design

  • Electronic Support design

  • Multi-element array processing and systems

  • Advanced signal processing techniques

  • Communications design and implementation proficiency

  • Technique waveform design and implementation

  • Digital signal processing

  • EW test environment simulation

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related engineerng experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSEE and 18+ years’ experience, MSEE and 16+ years’ experience, or PhD and 14+ years’ required

  • 15+ years FPGA design experience on Digital Signal Processing designs

  • Experience in either VHDL (preferred) or Verilog development language

  • Experience in EW system architecture

  • Experience leading technical teams of varying disciplines and experience levels

  • Communications systems architecture (focusing on the physical layer)

  • Electronic Warfare (EW) systems design, implementation, and test

  • Electronic Support (ES) Systems

  • Electronic Attack (EA) Systems

  • Machine Learning

  • Algorithm development, simulation, and documentation

  • Requirements analysis and management

  • Software Defined Radios

  • Experience implementing industry standard interfaces (e.g. 10/100/1000 Ethernet, SPI, UART, SDRAM, DDR3, JESD, PCIe, Ethernet).

  • Experience in simulation, synthesis, and placement software tools such as ModelSim, Synplicity, Xilinx Vivado / ISE and/or Altera Quartus development tool sets.

  • Active security clearance
