The core of this position requires you to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our financial statements through activity analysis and account reconciliations. You will be responsible for performing assigned accounting functions, for all of Wilson Electronics' brands. You will be expected to prepare and consolidate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, as needed.
Our Finance team is based in our Cottonwood Heights, UT corporate office. You will report to the Controller, and will have two employees reporting to you - an Accounts Payable position and an Accounts Receivable position. After initial training, you will be eligible to work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days from home per week.

Areas of responsibilities include:
Preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments
Maintaining and balancing the accounting system by inputting and verifying data
Analyzing information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information
Preparing or reviewing general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
Preparing or reviewing payments by accruing expenses; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents and preparing account roll forwards
Maintaining financial security by following internal controls
Reviewing, designing, and implementing accounting procedures and internal controls by analyzing current procedures and controls; recommending changes
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Identifying, researching, and explaining variances of actual performance to forecast
Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential
Representing the company to various trade professionals and groups, and ensuring that the company's professional reputation is maintained
Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
Accomplishing accounting and organization mission by completing related projects and duties as needed
This position may require travel up to 10%
This job may be a great fit for you if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master of Accounting or MBA preferred
3-4 years related experience post-education with a minimum of 2 years public accounting experience
Understanding of US GAAP, Reporting, and Accounting principles
Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite skills required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Knowledge of ERP systems (MS Dynamics) is a plus
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results
Experience with international subsidiaries and accounting in IFRS preferred
Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines
Ability to maintain accuracy of information and pay strong attention to detail
