Neighborhood House Afterschool Youth Program Leader in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Overview:

Our Afterschool Program Leaders will be responsible for planning & implementing activities for youth, ages 5-12, that responds to their individual needs & interests, that encourages them to develop friendships, work cooperatively, communicate effectively, & increase their self-image. Program Leaders will offer classroom activities, team building & group activities, community-service projects, & outdoor recreational opportunities. Program Leaders are responsible for proper supervision & interaction with the youth, maintaining effective group management techniques, encouraging participation from all youth, & having fun!!

Qualifications:

  • Must have/or obtain: Food Handlers Permit, CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Must be 18 years of age & able to successfully pass a background check.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Willing to drive a 15-passenger van daily to transport children from school.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with parents, youth, & co-workers.
  • Must possess at least three strong leadership qualities.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.

Schedule:

We have full-time, part-time and flex scheduling available but must have availability during afterschool hours; 2:00-5:30pm.
