SummaryChecks and verifies cost accounting, account payable records, prepares invoices and vouchers, types, files, posts ledger and general journal entries, and/or balances accounts payable and accounts receivable records. Uses office-automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects and respond to inquiries. May reconcile difficult accounts. May maintain a complete and systematic set of transactions in a specific phase of accounting. Job Description OTHER SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OR DUTIES Cash Applications Specialist * Processes and applies cash received in lockbox, wires and credit cards * Prepares all inter-company transfers and clears customers' accounts * Performs daily reconciliation of cash received in lockbox and wire transfers to SAP postings * Applies cash receipts from Canadian lockbox * Prepares monthly journal entries to bank bad debts, currency write-offs, customer moves and bank fees SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge * Five years' experience Required Certifications and Training * Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility. Experience Level with Business Tools * Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
