Summary

Perdue Foods is seeking an energetic and seasoned Human Resources executive who will be responsible for providing strategic HR leadership to the Commercial team of approximately 300 professionals, for the Foods organization. This position will be located at our Headquarters location in Salisbury, MD and will report directly to the EVP and CHRO of Perdue Farms. This position will be the primary Human Resources Business Partner to the Foods Chief Commercial Officer, senior leader direct reports within the Commercial organization and their teams. It is responsible for working with leaders within client groups to develop and implement human resource strategies to achieve near and long-term business objectives as the Foods business and “go to market” approach continue to evolve.

This position will drive structure and talent refinements to advance the Perdue Foods’ competitive position and overall business performance. This role will provide critical HR business partnering to the Commercial leadership team as the business finalizes and stabilizes re-organization and process work, while acquiring and/or developing critical skillsets and providing change management support to ensure Commercial Operations progress and deliver per plan. This will require business partnering support to continue the build of an engaged, diverse and efficient organization, strengthening the overall health of the Perdue talent pipelines, enabling delivery of current and future business objectives.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree and at least 15 years of relevant experience, with increasing responsibilities in progressive HR environments. MBA is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A combination of experiences within the CPG, Foods, Protein/poultry or complimentary industries.

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting a variety of client groups, including Commercial organizations in the past. Prior experience providing HR support within manufacturing facilities or for Live Operations preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years managing people.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant local/state/federal/provincial employment laws.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical, forecasting, financial management, business acumen and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal presentation, and interpersonal skills).

  • Demonstrated experience leading through business transformation initiatives.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
