Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness has an exciting opportunity for a Boiler Operator at our facility located in Salisbury, MD .

This position is responsible for performing assigned boiler duties within scope of classification to include equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, emergency breakdown, and equipment failure.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on boiler equipment

  • Diagnose failures to boiler equipment and make repairs

  • Rebuild boiler equipment

  • Maintain records and logs as required

  • Compile and complete paperwork relative to include but not limited to work orders, timecards and job cards

  • Perform all work within safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company polocies

  • Perform assigned tasks as assigned

Minimum Education

  • High School or equivalent preferred

  • Advanced technical training preferred

  • State Stationary Engineer Level 1 License

Experience Requirements

  • Boiler operator 1 - 4 years

  • Boiler Operator Certification preferred

  • Valid driver's license

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Able to move freely throughout the Agribusiness facility

  • Walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, working with arms above shoulder level

  • Climbing vertical heights (0-180')

  • carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds)

  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit)

  • Humidity, (0-100%)

  • Noise (50db to 100db)

  • Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus

  • May be required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities
