POSITION: 1st shift Small Parts Assembler LOCATION: Saline, MI COMPENSATION: $17.00 Hourly SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday 6 am to 11 am STANDARD HOURS: 6:00am-2:30pm OVERTIME HOURS: 6:00am-4:30pm

TO APPLY: Call us at 734-484-3668     POSITION OVERVIEW: Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity.

* * * * PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

  • Assemble and wire various electro-mechanical units.
  • Use small hand tools (including but not limited to; screwdriver, tweezers, pliers, etc.) to complete box builds, cable/wire assembles and PCB assemblies.
  • Perform transactions in an ERP system, ManFact, and PC to complete shop move logs, locate, and review work instructions and standard operating procedures, and clock in and out of work orders.
  • Use bill-of-materials (BOM) and assembly drawings to complete box builds, cable/wire assembles and PCB assemblies.
  • May conduct continuity checks on work in process as well as completed work.
  • May assist in the packing, boxing, or bagging of the finished product.
  • Assist with duties such as setting up jobs, prepping components, breaking down job set ups, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:   The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. •     High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required

  • 1-2 years' related assembly experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of standard electronic parts and mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of customer change notice (CCN) documents and their applications
  • Ability to use various types of drivers, wrenches, torques, crimping tools, screw drivers, wire cutters, etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of fasteners such as fine thread, cross thread, panhead, flat head, Phillips head, etc.
  • Ability to read and work from rough schematics, assembly drawings and verbal instructions to build developmental assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
