Salida School District R-32-J Family Services Coordinator in Salida, Colorado

POSITION: Family Services Coordinator - Salida Early Childhood Center

The Family Services Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating family support services based on the individual needs of families and in alignment with program goals and objectives, Head Start Performance Standards, and the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework. The position requires an ability to build strong relationships and create a responsive programming that supports children and families from diverse backgrounds and abilities. This position requires a high degree of collaborative communication. It also requires substantial organizational and time management skills. Documentation and assessments require a skill set that allows for efficiency and accessibility. A high level of autonomy is expected with equal amounts of self-management.

DUTIES: * Recruit and enroll eligible children and families in accordance with the program s ERSEA policies. * Connect with families to identify strengths, needs, and family goals. * Collaborate with teachers and other team members to ensure a whole child approach to early childhood education. * Plan and prepare individualized Family Partnership Agreements which support families using an evidence-based parenting curriculum and additional resources as necessary. * Document and assess family progress toward goals as defined in the program s Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Plan. * Support families in accessing additional community resources. * Recruit program volunteers and schedule classroom/center visitors. * Knowledge of child development * Ability to work in collaboration with other agencies serving families in the community. * Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team. * Regularly participate in reflective supervision. * Maintain accurate records for child/family files, Family Partnership Agreements, PIR data, family event participation, resource and referral, family contacts, progress toward goals, and assessment. * Basic knowledge of technology

PREFERRED SKILLS: * Experience with families and children 0-5 years old. * Be able to work effectively and create a positive rapport with young children and families, staff, administration, parents and community members * Possess experience using technology to support instruction and evaluation * A BA in Social Work or related degree is preferred * Bilingual preferred

WAGE: $42,500.00/ Annually

SHIFTS: Full-time - 32 hours per week

JOB SITE: Salida, CO - Salida Early Childhood Center
