Job Summary and Qualifications

  • You will represent Administration and provide leadership to resolve issues that arise, communicate and report to Administration.

  • Yu will pursue professional growth and development through knowledge of the healthcare environment.

  • You will provide leadership in a professional setting.

  • You will create an environment of professionalism.

  • You will integrate ethical provisions in all areas of practice.

  • You will maintain accurate staffing and census records.

  • You will respond to potential and/or actual emergency situations with direct and appropriate actions. You will need to be familiar with the incident command structure and able to perform as initial incident commander in disaster/emergency events.

  • You will collaborate with others (Transfer Center, Department Directors, Clinical Coordinators and Unit Charge Nurses, etc.) to facilitate patient admissions, transfers and staffing needs.

  • You will communicates effectively, and build relationships with all external and internal customers.

  • You will assure management of other specific routines as designated by Administration.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Registered Nurse License issued by the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia OR Registered Nurse with “multi-state privilege" granted to them by virtue of holding a license in one of the states participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement and who has not established permanent residency in Virginia is required.

  • Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

  • 4 years experience RN experience is required.
