The Position The Modern Languages Department invites applications for a Full-Time Lecturer position in Spanish to begin in August 2024. The candidates must hold either a Ph.D., ABD, or M.A. with native or near-native fluency and be able to teach lower-division Spanish as well as courses in the College’s general education curriculum. Candidates with experience in lower division coordination are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include teaching a load of 7 courses or course-equivalents per year, as well as coordinating and overseeing the lower-division languages. The candidate must be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and be able to work effectively with departmental colleagues. This is an assignment that is renewable annually, conditional on performance and the needs of the College.
