Medical Receptionist

LOCATION: West Salem Clinic – Medical ( Not A Remote Position)

JOB STATUS: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, with rotating Saturdays

YOUR ROLE:

As our friendly, courteous, and professional Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, clients, and all others that visit our clinic. You will check patients in for appointments, collect copays, and fees, and accurately record insurance information and verify patient demographic information in the Electronic Health Record software. You will effectively communicate with medical assistants, providers, and patients regarding delays or wait times.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Obtain and prepare patient records, encounter forms, and other paperwork according to established procedures.

  • Perform a variety of office duties, including, but not limited to printing daily schedules, photocopying, typing, faxing, routing received faxes to appropriate persons, maintaining office equipment as needed, and preparing the mail to go out.

  • Assist in rearranging providers schedule when called away from the clinic, is ill, or has a change of schedule.

  • Provide phone coverage as needed following protocols from call center. Schedule appointments.

  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policy.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

  • Ability to interact effectively and courteously with patients and staff.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
