Are you a registered nurse who is looking to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting? Do you enjoy working in psychiatric nursing? Do you want to make a positive impact in your community? Marion County Adult Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced behavioral health RN to provide direct nursing care to adults diagnosed with serious mental illnesses, some of whom have co-occurring substance use disorders. Duties include completing nursing assessments, taking vitals, administering injections, providing support to our team of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners, and coordinating care and medications for individuals in service. Other duties include overseeing Behavioral Health Nurses 1 and assigning daily duties to other staff. You will be working directly under the Nurse Program Manager, and overseeing daily operations of the outpatient clinic, working closely with the medical team. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, reliable, and enjoy working with a team. Workdays will vary depending on program needs but will fall Monday- Friday 8-5. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Responsible for coordination of nursing services for identified Behavioral Health programs; serves as liaison and coordinator for the nursing staff consisting of RN\'s and LPN\'s; provides lead direction for Nursing Services, including coordination of the work assignments, quality assurance and problem solving. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS 1. Associate degree in nursing; AND 2. Four years of behavioral health nursing experience; OR 3. Bachelor\'s degree in a related field (e.g., nursing, health education, psychology or social work), and two years behavioral health nursing experience; OR 4. Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County.
