We are looking out for Engineer Quality to join our team in Goa! The resource will be responsible to provide quality engineering service to all areas of the business unit operation, primarily in design/development process, supplied product, manufacturing processes!

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

Leads six sigma improvement projects and maintain related documentation. Devises new approaches to problems. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. Acts as a key contributor and/or technical leader within a project team.

Handling Customer Complaint Independently and leading through 8D method by collaborating with team.

Work closely with the NPI team to understand the new products CTQ and controls for ensuring handover from NPI to Mass production.

Focuses on ensuring process capability, control and improvement by developing procedures and interpreting standards for defined product line or facility. Develops the application of tools, methods and systems to ensure continuous performance improvements, e.g. DMAIC approach to problem solving. Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions.

Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into product. Formulate methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and product equipment, participating to team activities on tools like FMEA, Dynamic Control Plan

Assists for problems related to materials and collaborate with SQE. Specifies and/or assesses inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment e.g. through Gage R&R statistical studies;

Prepare or evaluate reports of statistical analysis (e.g. Cpk process capability) to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

Reviews and analyzes reports on quality non-conformities related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to determine responsibilities. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.

Participates to definition of engineering changes and temporary deviations (needed tasks and roles), ensuring the integrity of Customer specifications and expectations and the product reliability.

Prepares periodic reports, analyzing data and extracting negative trends that require attention or preventative action. Coordinates related actions.

Is capable and willing to have effective customer and supplier interactions and/or frequent inter-organization contacts.

Working with Process Engineering and Operations in PDP & PTP Process (New Product Introduction)

Developing and monitoring CTQ programs for the operations led.

Co-ordinate first article and product qualification of new and modified products, i.e., trial build of product

Work with design/development group-input at design reviews, participate in drawing change request reviews.

Conducting internal audits on regular basis and work on RCA and work to arrive at the CAPA.

Leading Continuous improvements projects using Six Sigma and Lean tools

Participate in Material Review Board

Any other relevant job as per management requirement.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • BE / B.Tech, in related curriculum such as (Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic & Telecommunication) with preferably 7+ years of working experience in quality field

  • Green Belt/Black Belt Certification

  • NPI Quality experience

  • Hands on experience and use of quality tools-8D,7QC tools, Lead PFMEA, Process Risk, quality risk

  • Handling Customer Complaints through 8D Methodology.

  • Ability to drive and lead projects.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Process audits

  • ISO9001 or TL 9000 Internal Quality Auditor Certification.

  • Sound mathematical and technical skills.

  • Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively.

  • Knowledge of statistical packages preferred; Minitab, Microsoft Office systems required.

  • Must be able to occasionally travel locally & globally.

  • Able to manage Customer representatives, often in exacting circumstances and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
