    About the Job

    This role involves overseeing the Operational Excellence program at the Ste. Genevieve, MO site to enhance processes and financial outcomes in line with MLC’s goals.

  • Facilitate /lead/direct improvement projects.

  • Coach and mentor project leaders and managers in change management competencies and strategies.

  • Work with Operational Excellence Leader for the Regional locations to provide Company Standards consistent with all MLC sites.

  • Support planning that defines program scope and content.

  • Identify improvement opportunities and assist organization in prioritization of effort.

  • Promote effective use of contemporary problem-solving tools and industry best practices.

  • Support plant and functional leaders in deployment of Operational Excellence programs within the Ste Genevieve, MO location of MLC.

  • Train and develop employees in problem solving methods and techniques.

  • Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities, as needed.

    Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent experience with a technical degree).

  • Experience: 5 or more years related operational excellence experience in a top-notch manufacturing and/or service environment. Strong coaching, training, and facilitating experience along with history of developing high performance teams.

  • Abilities: Analytical capabilities with relevant experience in financial and general business background.

  • Certifications: Certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodology is highly desired.

  • Knowledge: Must be intimately familiar with continuous improvement philosophy, terminology, and tools application.
