Prestage Ammonia Refrigeration Technician in Saint Pauls, North Carolina

To operate and maintain the industrial refrigeration system for a turkey processing plant. The technician position applies for individuals with mechanical aptitude and ambition to continue a career in the refrigeration field.

  • Installation and repair of industrial refrigeration equipment in accordance to blueprints and engineering specs.

  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM).

  • Provide preventive maintenance to the ammonia systems.

  • Knowledge of Frick screw and reciprocating computer systems and ice making systems.

  • Maintain logs and paperwork

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and promote a safe work environment for self and coworkers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration.

  • Able to work flexible start times and rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English.

  • Able to work in hot, cold and wet environments.

  • Able to work in confined spaces.

  • Able to stand, squat and climb on a regular basis.
