Midwest Special Services, Inc. Staff Development Specialist - 30hrs/week in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Description The Staff Development Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and implementing training and development opportunities for program staff, which may include providing in person/virtual training opportunities and creating training materials. Develop training and curriculum for staff that is specific to the needs of the persons served in MSS programs. Maintain a working knowledge of licensing requirements related to staff training and development. Supports licensing compliance and quality assurance through monitoring of training components, including, but not limited to: onboarding/new hire checklists, eLearning lesson completion, first aid/CPR, medication administration, positive support rule, cultural competence, and providing person-centered services. Assist program leaders with tracking online training requirements and completion for staff. Assign annual training in the online training system and monitor progress, following up with staff as needed. Participate in external learning opportunities and seek out opportunities for program staff based on interests and needs of persons served. Provides support and training to program leadership to develop curriculum and training for their specific needs. Act as a liaison with other appropriate agencies and organizations to promote the interests of MSS. Benefits The person in this position will work 30 hours per week. Full-time benefits are available including company sponsored health insurance, dental insurance, life and disability insurance along with paid time off and paid holidays.
