Description

Seeking a creative software engineer to perform design implementation and unit testing of software subsystems. This person will direct a team through the implementation and unit testing of large subsystems. The interface subsystems are based on Sammi a Motif interpreter. This individual will be responsible for interface designs to support the Sammi windows. Will use a C standard template library to take high level designs into software implementation.

Requirements

Minimum

  • M.S. or M.S (Preferred) in discipline such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering. Master’s Degree okay – prefers 4+ years’ experience.

  • 6+ years of software engineering design - C++ for Med device or high regulation experience (aerospace) – more rigorous software development

  • Experience with creating and managing requirements and translating them into effective architectures and software design

  • An understanding of requirements for, and experience in medical device development

  • Excellent documentation skills (highly regulated development environment)

  • Excellent C++/C# knowledge

  • Operating Systems: Linux

  • QT Experience

  • Object Oriented Design Experience

  • Software development through full product life-cycle

Preferred

  • Medical device development experience and IEC60601-1, IEC62304 and related IEC standard familiarity preferred.

  • Development/Process Tools: MS Visual Studio, Jira, Perforce

  • Experience developing robust software applications that address Cyber Security concerns

  • GUI development experience: Qt/QML

  • Windows 10/IoT,

  • Experience with distributed embedded systems

  • Other programming languages such as .NET, XML, XSL, HTML and communication protocols (TCP/IP, UPnP, Web Services, SOAP, CAN)

  • Direct supervisory experience
