Stride, Inc. Finance Intern, Summer 2024 in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Job Description SUMMARY: This summer internship offers an opportunity to support the finance team in various financial analysis and modeling tasks. The finance intern will create financial models, capture historical trends and present financial data metrics to understand variances and spend patterns to identify key performance indicators. In this role, the intern will communicate and collaborate with the broader finance team and other departments. We expect this internship to start in May and have a tentative end date of August 2024.   • Assist in building and maintaining financial models for cost analysis and investment opportunities
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management based on findings
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary data and ensure the accuracy of financial information
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and variances
  • Prepare financial reports, presentations, and other ad-hoc analyses
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline financial processes and procedures

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MBA/MS
  • A major in finance/ accounting is desired

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Observational and listening skills
  • Self-motivation and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and organizational skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Accounting/Bookkeeping is a plus
  • Experience with Financial Modeling and data visualization is a plus

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. We anticipate this position will pay between $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus.
