Our client, in Metal Fabrication is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to join their team. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in the field with a desire to advance with the company.

Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

Location: St Mary's Ohio

Pay Range: $26+hr depending on Experience

Shift: 6am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs 5 hrs on Friday

What’s the Job?

  • Machining and Fabrication: Utilize a variety of machine tools and equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to fabricate and shape metal components with precision.

  • Heat Treatment: Perform heat treatment processes such as hardening, tempering, and annealing to enhance the strength and durability of tooling materials.

  • Assembly and Testing: Assemble and test tooling components to ensure proper fit, function, and performance according to design specifications.

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing tools and dies to maximize their lifespan and productivity.

  • Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products and tooling components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of design changes, manufacturing processes, and inspection results for future reference and continuous improvement.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and production personnel to optimize tooling designs and manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

What’s Needed?

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, CAD/CAM software, and precision machining techniques.

  • Strong knowledge of metalworking processes, materials, and heat treatment methods.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
