Differentials: Weekend Option $7.50/hr, Weekend on Sat/Sun $2.00/hr

The MRI Department at St. Louis University Hospital takes pride in the excellent team we have and the care we provide. All scanners are Siemens and have identical protocols. The intra-operative 3.0t MR scanner is utilized for surgical, anesthesia, inpatient and outpatient exams. We have a Quality Assurance program and a Continuing Education Resource center just for Imaging. Evening/Night/Weekend/Holiday parking connected to Hospital. Imaging staff room furnishes individual lockers as well. SLU Hospital is an academic institute as well as a Level 1 Trauma facility that offers exceptional pay, benefits, tuition reimbursement, pet insurance, matching retirement funds.

Call requirement: 1 weekend every 5 weeks, Mon-Thu every 7 weeks

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiologist, Director, and Manager performs diagnostic medical imaging by magnetic resonance.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

Performs magnetic resonance imaging examinations.

Demonstrates knowledge of cross sectional anatomy. Knows MR anatomical landmarks and able to recognize abnormalities and alert radiologist as needed.

Observes establishes departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Job Specifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school/ Associates degree as well as a graduate of Accredited MR program and MR Certification eligible

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year preferred but new grads welcome!

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BLS, ARRT, additional certification in MR preferred or Graduate of Accredited MR program. Applicants will be given twelve (12) months to obtain the MR certification as a condition of employment.
