Position Summary: As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring that materials are efficiently managed, from receiving and storing to distributing within our facilities. We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials throughout the facility.

  • Receive incoming materials, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and store items in appropriate locations.

  • Prepare materials for shipping, including picking, packing, labeling, and completing necessary paperwork.

  • Conduct regular inventories and maintain accurate records of materials on hand.

  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.

  • Collaborate with team members and departments to improve materials management processes and support overall operational efficiency.

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on material handling equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role preferred.

  • Certified or able to be certified in the operation of material handling equipment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Basic computer skills for inventory and record-keeping purposes.
