Robert Half Help Desk Analyst III in Saint Louis, Missouri

Description We are seeking a competent Help Desk Analyst III to join our dedicated IT team in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri. This role involves providing advanced troubleshooting and support for complex IT issues, managing critical incidents, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services and infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be tasked with handling escalated issues from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, as well as providing hands-on support for end-users.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve escalated technical issues from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams

• Provide expert-level support for software, hardware, networking, and system issues

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex IT problems, ensuring timely resolution

• Provide hands-on support for end-users, addressing hardware and software issues directly at their workstations

• Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop/laptop systems and peripherals

• Support mobile devices and ensure secure connectivity for remote users

• Manage and resolve critical incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations

• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement permanent solutions

• Document incidents, problems, and resolutions accurately in the IT service management system

• Maintain and support Windows and macOS operating systems, including updates and patch management

• Administer and troubleshoot network services, such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi

• Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance

• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to address and resolve technical issues

• Mentor and provide guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support staff

• Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users on new technologies and best practices

• Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations

• Provide technical expertise and support during project planning and execution phases Requirements • Proven experience as a Help Desk Analyst III or similar role in IT support

• Proficiency in Citrix Technologies

• Sound understanding of Database systems

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems

• Experience with Lotus Notes

• Proficiency in Microsoft products and services

• Knowledge of Active Directory

• Ability to handle Computer Hardware

• Experience in Configuration Management

• Skills in Deskside Support

• Familiarity with Desktop Hardware

• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field

• Relevant certifications are a plus Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
