Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Electric Motor Machinists for projects located in and around Lees Summit, MO. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of $25-30/hour based on experience & skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site. If you are an Electric Motor Machinist and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

  • Utilize overhead cranes, jib cranes, and proper rigging techniques

  • Operate a forklift

  • Disassembly of low voltage nema/iec ac motor document findings, failed broken components, etc.

  • Finding root cause, failure mechanical and electrical motor testing

  • Install equipment such as motors, gearbox, blowers, etc.

  • Test brake motors

  • Inspect & test brake coil

  • Set up brake for operating vertical solid shaft

  • Repair thrust bearing angular contact arrangements

  • Test run of medium voltage motors

  • Utilize precision instruments; outside micrometers up to 36 inch, inside micrometers up to 36 inch, etc.

  • Proficient use of PDMA or all test circuit analysis testing

  • Set up theories/procedures and provide recommendations to improve reliability of equipment

  • Install new equipment and systems

  • Repair & maintain current equipment and systems

  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3+ Years of Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Machinist type position

  • Vibration Certification Preferred

  • Completion of EASA Medium Voltage Training Program

  • Hand Tools

  • Proper PPE
