Description:

  • TEKsystems is helping a company in SW Michigan identify a Network Administrator to join their team on a direct hire basis.

  • Responsibilities for this position include daily administration of the network and server environment, and monitoring of the environment to ensure a secure and protected environment.

  • The position will also be expected to design, propose, and implement, various networking projects, and ensure network security, endpoint security, application security, and data security.

  • Quickly diagnose and offer solutions to support desk staff as required.

  • The administrator should also have a solid networking foundation and understanding of how it affects the business environment.

  • Completing tasks of varying complexity with minimal oversight, while producing detailed documentation of procedures and processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the daily administration of a network/server environment

  • Installing, administering, and troubleshooting network, endpoint, and application security solutions

  • Performs routine updates and maintenance tasks

  • Responsible for the maintenance, and development of technical documentation

  • Updating software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each network resource.

  • Work on projects of various complexity in a lead or support capacity.

  • Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and developing/testing disaster recovery plans

  • Configuring and supporting security tools, such as vulnerability scanners, firewalls, antivirus software, etc.

  • Consulting with staff and management about the best security practices and providing technical advice
