About this Role:

As our Research and Development Chemist, you'll be joining an exceptional team comprised of people who are relentlessly passionate and dedicated to innovation and research. Joining this team will provide you with the opportunity to push boundaries, be creative, and be a part of an organization that is truly making a difference.

In this role, you'll participate in carrying out elements of the product development process (e.g., finding and screening new ideas, translating them into a prototype, performing testing, and getting it ready for launch). Throughout your day, you can expect to interact with members of all levels from our Sales, Operations, and Procurement teams, so it's important that you have strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for new product formulation from its conception to greenhouse and field for testing.
  • Plan plot protocol, implementation, and evaluation of applied research in the greenhouse, growth chamber, and laboratory.
  • Analyze experimental results, conduct statistical analysis, and preliminary review with the research team.
  • Provide experimental label, SDS, and final formulation of raw materials to the manufacturing site manager.
  • Sales Support -- Product Recommendations & Training.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field and 3-5 yrs. experience in applied research.
  • Experience with analytical testing -- primarily testing product samples, trace materials, and confirming information.
  • Plant physiology, microbiology and/or botany experience.
  • Agriculture knowledge is helpful, but not required.
