THE LEARNING CENTER FOR FAMILIES dba ROOT FOR KIDS Occupational Therapist in SAINT GEORGE, Utah

Root for Kids mission is to nurture strong beginnings in all children and we are seeking an Occupational Therapist who wants to make a difference for children in our community.  Full Time job with some-what flexible hours. 

This individual will provide Occupational Therapy to children in a home-visit model. Must be able to explain family rights and procedural safeguards to families in understandable terms.  Will conduct standardized assessments to determine eligibility and functioning of children who have been referred to the program. Will collaborate with other team members, including the family, to develop Individual Family Service Plans for each child.  Will address the priorities and concerns of the family and support them in developing appropriate child and family goals. Must coordinate and monitor the timely delivery of identified Occupational Therapy services. Will work with the family to identify a child's needs for assistive technology and acquire through the program or create appropriate assistive technology to promote access, participation and learning within and across activities and routines.  

Must be licensed in the State of Utah (license in Arizona a plus). Have good communication skills with Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.  Experience working in an early intervention program preferred.  Must have good record keeping ability and good computer skills including some data entry.  Requires a person with full mobility, the ability to see, hear and speak, and lift up to 20 lbs.  Accommodations can be made as necessary. Applicants will be required to pass a background check and e-verification. Requires a current driver license and reliable transportation to conduct home visits---with employer paid mileage.
