ST CHARLES COUNTY GOVERNMENT Part-Time Medical Translator / Public Health in Saint Charles, Missouri

JOB OVERVIEW:This is a part-time as-needed position for medical translation services that may vary in hours and length of service. Candidate should be available to work an estimated 20-30 hours per week. Typical hours would fall between 8:00am and 6:00pm Monday - Friday.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Translation of documents, emails, and live meetings from multiple languages, especially seeking Spanish and Portuguese translation
  • Answer and direct telephone call inquiries from patients - connecting callers to resources as appropriate
  • Collaborate with staff during events to provide translations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in translation, interpreting, or similar field
  • Two (2) years general experience as a translator or interpreter, preferably in a clinic, health care, or customer service setting
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Ukrainian, or multilingual
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship is required.
