  • $50,704.74 per year (with benefits)

[Job Description: [Supervise juveniles and families referred to the Juvenile Office for child abuse/neglect, status offenses, and law violations. This includes assessing juveniles and families for risks and needs, formulating recommendations, and ensuring that they follow through with recommended or court ordered services. This position works under the direction of the Supervisor - Court Services and may require working evenings and weekends. ]{calibri",sans-serif"=""}]{calibri",sans-serif"=""}

  • Interviews and assesses families who have been referred to the Juvenile Officer for child abuse/neglect, delinquency, and status offenses to determine appropriate services and recommendations for court. Services and recommendations should serve the best interest of a child.

``` - Completes criminal record checks on family members and possible and potential placement providers. Obtains records from other agencies to include: CD, schools, hospitals, mental health, and drug treatment providers.

``` - Serves summonses and subpoenas.

``` - Prepares written Social Investigations that will be admitted to court.

``` - Testifies in court, under oath, to justify information and recommendations contained in your Social Investigation.

``` - Supervises juveniles on formal or informal probation and children in foster care. Helps ensure the families follow through with recommended or court ordered services and treatment.

``` - Conducts field work to include visits to homes, residential facilities, schools, and service providers.

``` - Transports juveniles in work vehicles.
