DHT Dave Hausbeck Trucking CDLA Dry Van Driver/OTR in Saginaw, Michigan

Sign on bonus for all CDLA Over the Road Dry Van drivers - 2 yr experienced drivers start at .55 CPM.

DHT's CDL-A drivers will perform regional runs and follow a first in first out dispatch style where drivers will have 1.5-2 day resets weekly. There are flexible days off available for this position. 1-2 years driving experience preferred.

DHT is hiring at all facilities with additional Michigan locations in Newport and Port Huron and also Bellefontaine, Ohio. Essential Duties of a CDLA Dry Van Driver:

  • Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods
  • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
  • Operates a powered industrial vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
  • Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals
  • Maintains work orders, signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork
  • Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; reports maintenance malfunctions
  • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
  • Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure and undamaged

Compensation Package for a CDLA Dry Van Driver:

  • Updated pay scale for experienced drivers .50 to .60 per mile.
