Tool and Die Maker - 3917
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tool and Die Maker to join our team! As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of various types of tools, dies, and fixtures used in our production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and metalworking, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Shift Available: 7am-3pm
Key Responsibilities: * Manufacture, repair, and maintain tools, dies, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications. * Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment. * Perform precision machining and finishing operations to achieve tight tolerances and high-quality standards. * Grind and adjust different parts to properly fit them together * Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tools and dies, implementing corrective actions as needed. * Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize tooling designs and processes for improved efficiency and productivity. * Adhere to 5S standards (e.g. maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.) * Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures * Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or apprenticeship in tool and die making preferred. * Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or highly skilled CNC operator in a manufacturing environment. * Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. * Strong knowledge of machining techniques and equipment, including CNC machining. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
