The role works closely with Insurance Operations Leadership to help create and execute business and operational strategies for the enterprise.

This role is a strategic position that helps shape the direction of the Insurance Operations Team while ensuring the team and our business partners deliver with operational discipline and efficiency.

This role is a liaison between the organization and other internal and external businesses. This person is a strong enterprise collaborator works to provide effective and innovative solutions for top organizational and business priorities.

The role will also be critical in communicating business priorities and plans to the senior management team and broader organization. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a key skill for this leader and this leader will help the coo communicate priorities to stakeholders across the firm.

This position requires a hands-on, self-motivated, smart, and emotionally intelligent individual who thrives in a fast-moving team.

Breadth of responsibility spans the Insurance Operations organization and works closely with the other business units and functional leadership teams we partner with.

  • Collaborate with Insurance Operations Leadership to ensure that the team is operating effectively, routines are being used for maximum team effectiveness and goals and objective are being met or exceeded

  • Work to communicate priorities and results to the broader organization. Synthesize strategies and operational plans so they can be shared and discussed at all levels of the organization.

  • Lead, manage and coordinate the execution of strategic and operational initiatives. These initiatives are strategic in nature, highly complex, and involve creation and oversight of multifaceted teams.

  • Drive alignment around setting strategic goals, executing, and monitoring progress

  • Serve as a liaison and driver to cross-functional groups across the entire company

  • Demonstrate organizational savvy. Help breakthrough any roadblocks, resolve issues and escalate where needed

  • Help set the strategic direction of the Insurance Operations Team – e.g. defining new opportunities, executing key initiatives, closing the gaps in business and operation

  • Ensure that long-term projects are executed in an efficient, cost-effective, and diligent manner driving outcomes with ROI

  • Create and maintain key business relationships on behalf of the Insurance Operations organization and its senior leaders

  • Create executive summaries and brief senior leaders on specific issues and projects or subject matter that may be highly sensitive and confidential

  • Serve as liaison for internal and external communications

  • Facilitate leadership team meetings, strategy session and business reviews to ensure effective utilization of time and deliver on desires outcomes

  • Ensure quality decision making and focus on the most important topics. In addition to ensuring follow-up actions are documented and people are held accountable for those action items.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytic, communications, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making and articulation of strategic priorities

  • Strong financial and business acumen

  • Excellent relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

  • High self-initiative, commitment and follow through

  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities

  • Proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels

  • Experience with program management and organizational change management

  • Results and deadline driven, works well under high pressure situations, and comfortable dealing with and handling highly confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Greater than 5 years of experience in strategy, line of business management, Finance, or consulting

  • Experience with leading major initiatives

  • Power BI experience

  • Ability to produce MT-ready presentations

Additional Information

Prefer incumbent be located in Louisville but will accommodate other locations and hybrid work arrangements. Requires travel as business needs dictate.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$112,400 - $154,900 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
