The New Service Introduction (NSI) Strategic Project Manager will work in the division Project Management Office, in an exciting environment to help develop an elite portfolio management for new service introduction. You'll plan and lead mid-large scale service introduction programs to ensure projects meet business requirements and impact. You will manage work through a formal stage gate process, develop schedules, understand critical path, determine objectives, scope, identify and call out risks.

A day in the Life:

  • Successfully manage programs and projects through a formal stage gate framework

  • Contribute to establishing NSI portfolio operating mechanisms, structure and process

  • Develop detailed project schedules for strategic and/or business critical projects including information such as project charter, objectives, scope, coordinating resources to drive impact and project acceleration.

  • Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects

  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for team members required for specific projects or initiatives

  • Monitor daily tasks to ensure all project team members are actively working toward established achievements and results, and ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.

  • Establish and implement a project communication plan and develop information communication procedures.

  • Confer with project personnel to coordinate activities and identify and resolve problems

  • Coordinate between business principals to ensure project needs are met

  • Prepare timely project status reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information and calling out risks for key partners

  • Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans in conjunction with business principals

Keys to Success:


  • Bachelors degree preferred


  • Life science/Healthcare/Service-related industry experience preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience preferred, with experience leading cross-functional teams

  • At least 3 years of proven experience using a stage gate framework for new product or service introductions

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods.

  • Passionate about driving initiatives through consultation and teamwork.

  • Confident working in ambiguity, while building the foundation and framework for a new program.
