Description
An HR Assistant supports the human resources department by performing administrative tasks such as updating employee records, assisting in payroll preparation, and resolving any issues or inquiries related to HR. They also help with the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and providing onboarding materials to new hires. Other duties might include:
Managing HR documents such as employment contracts and new hire guides.
Participating in organizing company events and careers days.
Assisting HR department head with performance management procedures.
Supporting the management with various administrative tasks.
Answering employees' queries about HR-related issues.
Reporting incidents and accidents in the workplace to the responsible parties.
Assisting with HR projects, such as collecting employee feedback.
The HR assistant is expected to have excellent organizational skills, good written and verbal communication, knowledge of labor laws, and proficiency in computer systems and HR software. A degree in Human Resources or a related field is commonly required.
