Description If you love Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role will involve various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite

  • Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews

  • Collaborate with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors

  • Responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department

  • Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures

  • Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters

  • Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to business and operational projections

  • Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations

  • Evaluate employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)

  • Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations

  • Draft templates for various HR documents, including the Employee Handbook

  • Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees Requirements - Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms

  • Prior experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

  • Prior HR Generalist experience preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal business skills

    • Candidates who are highly professional, as well as able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity, will be preferred
  • Proven understanding local, state and federal laws

  • Experience with full cycle recruiting

  • B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

  • Prior experience implementing and coordinating Open Enrollment is a plus
