As a member of the customs team, you will support the company business units in all customs-related matters, ensuring optimal and efficient full compliance with applicable customs regulations and internal requirements and advising on global trade compliance matters. You'll use your savvy presentation and interpersonal skills to influence business practices to implement & apply automated solutions.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Ensure full compliance and timely resolution when assigning HTS classifications for import and export shipments.

  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate company data and processes to identify risks & opportunities for standardizing and streamlining processes across the US.

  • Collaborate with various partners (business segment management, department leadership, members of the Customs Team) on cross-department activities promoting process optimization.

  • Identify, collect, and monitor critical metrics for developing business strategies and presentation to management.

  • Develop, implement, and carry out guidelines, solutions, and plans to optimize processes.

  • Supports regular training to targeted business groups on import compliance and supply chain security topics.

  • Responsible for implementing Customs-related processes within the business ERP (SAP) &/or Global Trade Management system.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • BS Degree or equivalent of education and experience in a related field

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of related experience - primarily determining USHTS classifications.

  • Project skills, including analytics, implementation strategies, metric measurement, and continuous monitoring of expectations and deliverables

  • Ability to work independently

  • Licensed Customs Broker a plus

The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA, is $105,600 - $142,400, and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
