The Role

Overview:

As a Cloud Transformation Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding organizations through the process of transitioning their IT infrastructure, applications, and services to cloud-based solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing current IT environments, developing cloud migration strategies, and executing the transformation roadmap to optimize performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess Current Infrastructure: Conduct thorough assessments of existing IT infrastructure, applications, and processes to identify opportunities and challenges for cloud migration.

  • Develop Cloud Migration Strategies: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive cloud migration strategies aligned with business objectives, compliance requirements, and technical feasibility.

  • Architect Cloud Solutions: Design scalable and resilient cloud architectures utilizing best practices and cloud-native technologies to meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.

  • Provide Technical Guidance: Offer expert guidance and recommendations to internal teams and clients on cloud technologies, platforms, services, and implementation best practices.

  • Execute Migration Projects: Lead and manage end-to-end cloud migration projects, including planning, execution, testing, and deployment, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Optimize Cloud Environments: Continuously monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security, leveraging automation and monitoring tools.

  • Implement DevOps Practices: Promote the adoption of DevOps principles and practices to streamline development, deployment, and operations workflows in cloud environments.

  • Drive Adoption and Training: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to empower teams with the skills and knowledge required to effectively utilize cloud services.

  • Stay Current with Cloud Trends: Keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and provide thought leadership to clients and internal teams.

  • Foster Collaborative Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive successful cloud transformation initiatives.

If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $154,680 to $319,050 based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.

Who You Are

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 15+ years proven experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation, preferably with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native services such as containers, serverless computing, and microservices architecture.

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Project management experience, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google

Preferred

  • Professional Cloud Architect
