The Accounts Receivable Specialsit is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical support to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. Gathers and sorts documents for weekly billing and related information. Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments. Processing cash collections, mainly via credit card portal Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Support the Accounts Payable function for one subsidiary - as needed Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions. Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments. Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls. Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Special projects requested by the CFO and controller. DIRECT REPORTS: Controller EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have 2 years or more of A/R experience along with a 4 Year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Proficient in office productivity tools (i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Positive approach and pro-active working style The ability to juggle a wide variety of tasks, work independently with minimum direction A high degree of professionalism and personal integrity to maintain confidentiality, safeguard employee information, and handle documents with sensitivity and discretion Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify discrepancies and inefficiencies and recommend improvements Strong detail orientation, writing, editing, and proofreading skills to create documents and complete assignments accurately High level of drive to inspire and lead others to meet deadlines and targeted results The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Effective time management skills
